October 14 of this year is the 49th World Standards Day. The Chinese government held the theme activity of World Standards Day 2018 in Beijing. Leaders of the General Administration of Market Supervision, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments made keynote speeches in the activity. It is self-evident that the country attaches great importance to the work of standards. In the speeches of the leaders, we learned that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China has deepened the reform of standardization work, accelerated the establishment of a standardization system that is in line with international standards, continuously expanded the field of standardization work, and deeply integrated standardization with various industries. This has played an important role in improving the quality of China's products and services, developing the market economy and foreign trade, and enhancing the level of national governance. Faced with new situations and tasks, new measures should be taken to achieve new breakthroughs. We need to promote the formulation and implementation of standardization strategies, vigorously promote the research of the "China Standard 2035" project, and provide strong support for scientific decision-making in standardization. We need to deepen the reform of standardization work, encourage market entities to focus on improving product quality, industrial quality, and international competitiveness, cultivate and develop group standards, relax and revitalize enterprise standards, and fully unleash the standardization and innovation vitality of enterprises and social organizations. We need to strengthen the implementation and supervision of standards, further promote the disclosure of standards, and improve the overall efficiency of standardization. We need to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation in standardization, increase the synergy between standards and diplomacy, economy and trade, science and technology, and other work, increase the formulation, transformation, and application of international standards, and promote the internationalization of Chinese standards to a new level.
Our company leaders have always attached great importance to standardization work. Our company has been a member of the National Wind Turbine Standardization Technical Committee for many years. We have actively participated in various activities of the committee, directly participated in drafting and revising three standards, and also participated in discussions and reviews of multiple standards. Last year, our company was also rated as "exemplary organization in Standardization Work" by the National Technical Committee for Fan Standardization.
In the new situation, the work of the National Wind Turbine Standards Committee has undergone significant changes compared to the past. It has held multiple standard discussions and promotion meetings, organized training, improved the professional abilities of standardization practitioners, discussed revision suggestions for current effective standards, tracked international and developed country standards, and discussed how to use them for our own benefit. Since the beginning of this year, our company has also sent personnel to participate in four meetings and training organized by the Standardization Committee.
The standards seminar held in Shanghai mainly discussed the revision of the national standard "Ventilation Function Efficiency Limits and Energy Efficiency Grades" (GB 19761-2009), as well as the conversion of the American standard "Fan Efficiency Index Calculation" (ANSI/AMCA Standard 208-18). During the meeting, everyone freely stated that the "Ventilation Functional Efficiency Limits and Energy Efficiency Levels" was first released in 2005 and is the world's first standard for evaluating fan energy efficiency. The publication of this standard is very meaningful, but it is also because there are no international standards to refer to that the standard has defects and there are also some problems in the implementation process. According to the introduction of the members who participated in the AMCA working conference, there is a big difference between the American standard "Calculation of Fan Efficiency Index" and the Chinese standard "Limits of Ventilator Efficiency and Energy Efficiency Grades", and ISO 12759-2010 is being revised. The "Calculation of Fan Efficiency Index" will soon be included in the latest international standard. Therefore, in order to keep up with the world's advanced level, The meeting ultimately decided to temporarily maintain the current status of the "Ventilation Functional Efficiency Limits and Energy Efficiency Levels" (GB 19761-2009), and the next focus of the standardization committee is on how to convert the "Fan Efficiency Index Calculation" (ANSI/AMCA Standard 208-18) into a Chinese standard.
